Hot and Dry!!

It sure is dry out there - here's an actual image of a house we washed in Cambridge today. In the foreground you can see the rose bed and herbaceous border.
Okay, so maybe not quite THAT dry, but we're getting there.
A lot of people have been asking about washing their house during the Council imposed water restrictions.
The short answer is, yes, you can still wash your house. That 'yes' does come with some qualitifaction.
Broadly speaking, restrictions relate to residential use. Industry would be remiss to carry on as though nothing has changed but the overarching philosophy is that, where employment and industry is concerned, the rules differ a little. Imposing a no-use order on one industry quickly percolates into a great many others. If employers are forced to close the doors because we lack water, a lot has gone wrong to reach that point and many, many people are going to be affected.
Getting back to the point about not being remiss, you might well ask what we're doing to help the situation. We're doing all the small things right; making sure seals are tight, hose connections aren't dripping, water is being turned off when not in use. We're making sure we don't needlessly waterblast. We generally wash using a soft method so that means very light water pressure and just enough being used and no more. Soap lines are being rinsed back into tanks and any fresh water that is superfluous is going onto gardens and lawns.
So YES, you can still wash your house in the dry season! And you can also be assured we won't waste any water at any stage of the process.
