This really was a roof of two halves and it's a great demonstration of why getting Green Agenda on site for a roof treatment is a well worthwhile exercise. After a gentle treatment, this roof is well on the road to rehabilitation but it needn't have gotten to this stage to begin with.

Now we've cleaned up this roof, the very best plan (and what we'll be doing) is to prevent the algal growth from recurring. To do that, we'll be coming back at the same time every year to reapply the treatment. That's going to stop the algae from providing a growing medium for moss which spreads up and under the shingles, and lichen which will grow through the shingles, given enough time.
